A home within the city

The selected photographs show a garden-facing residence set among Zamalek’s surrounding apartment buildings. Terraces, balconies and shaded openings mediate between the house and its outdoor spaces.

The exterior record

The two views are selected from the studio’s dedicated residence album and presented as one project. They document the exterior without implying that every part of the existing building was newly designed or constructed by the practice.

Project name, location and classification follow the studio-supplied archive. Captions distinguish photographs, visualisations and drawings. Unstated clients, dates, areas and appointment details are omitted; album dates are not completion dates.

Design perspective / Beyond the brief

Diplomatic residence

A considered way to live.

We approach a home through the lives it will hold — balancing intimacy, openness, and a lasting sense of belonging.

  1. Privacy

Spaces that balance personal retreat with a connection to the outside.

  2. Light

Openings, gardens, and thresholds shaped around everyday rhythms.

  3. Longevity

Enduring proportions, thoughtful materials, and room for life to evolve.

Independent thinking. Integrated expertise.
